On 17 Feb. 2014, four bidders submitted tender offers within the framework of the ongoing Owner’s Engineer selection process run by PGE EJ 1 sp. z o.o.
On 17 Feb. 2014, four bidders submitted their tender offers in the public procurement process executed by PGE EJ1 sp. z o.o. in the form of competitive negotiations (involving publication) and entitled: „Providing Technical Advisor (Owner’s Engineer) services to support PGE EJ 1 sp. z o.o.’s first Polish nuclear power plant development program with an installed capacity of approximately 3000 MWe”, namely:
- AMEC Nuclear UK Ltd;
- Exelon Generation Company, LLC;
- Consortium of Mott MacDonald Limited and AF-Consult Ltd;
- Consortium of URS Polska sp. z o.o. and Tractebel Engineering S.A.
Tender commitee has already proceeded to analyzing and evaluating the submitted bids. The Company plans to close the procurement procedure and award the contract in 3Q2014. Owner’s Engineer will be embedded in the Investor’s (namely PGE EJ1) organization and provide the Investor with all necessary support required to develop and execute the NPP build project. The selected contractor will also support the Company during the execution of works and in fulfilling owner’s obligations towards the nuclear technology provider/ main EPC contractor as well as other key suppliers in the project.The scope of work for Owner’s Engineer comprises four main areas of cooperation:
- active participation in the development and execution of the integrated procedure,in particular in the nuclear technology provider and main EPC contractor selectionprocess,
- project, quality and H&S management as well as capacity building for the Investor,
- investment execution oversight and licensing processes (nuclear regulator andother permits),
- supply chain and contract management.
