About us
Our mission is to provide Poland with a clean and stable source of energy that will accelerate the country’s energy transformation, strengthen its energy security, and support the achievement of ambitious climate goals. We are responsible for implementing one of the country’s most important infrastructure projects, namely the construction of the first Polish nuclear power plant.
Location
The selection of a suitable site is one of the key conditions for ensuring the safe operation of the power plant and for minimizing its impact on the lives of local residents and the natural environment. Between 2017 and 2021, Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe carried out site investigation and environmental assessment activities that determined how the nuclear power plant (NPP) will affect the surrounding environment and human health (environmental assessment), and how environmental conditions might affect the safety of the power plant’s operation (site investigation).
