Piotr Piela
Piotr Piela has more than 25 years of experience in power and finance projects. He began his career̨ in 1995 at Arthur Andersen, a consulting firm which merged with Ernst & Young in 2002. For many years, he was the Managing Partner of a business advisory department and leader of Ernst & Young power team, managing the work of multidisciplinary advisory teams in the Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2020, he has been Managing Partner of Piela Business Engineering, a company providing integrated solutions for the power sector.
Starting in 2009, he has actively participated in the development of nuclear power in Poland, supporting the implementation of projects related to the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant, and power plants based on a small modular reactor (SMR) technology. Key completed projects in which he participated include cooperation with the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy, PGE, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Energy, KGHM, NuScale, the ENEA Group, and the investor in the Sinop nuclear project in Turkey.
Piotr Piela is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology and postgraduate studies in management at Harvard Business School.
